My MacBook air shows pixelate lines and some screen housing intermittently, but works fine plugged into an external monitor. Need the MacBook screen to work and not get pixelated. I tried Mac support who suggest it’s likely monitor issue and not a software issue

I need at it guru that’s not going to charge me a fortune to fix my display screen. A power surge happened I’m assuming and has destroyed my tv and my computer display with lines throughout the screen and lagging. Apple was going to charge me too much so I thought I would jump on here!

accidentally deleted the hard disk in macbook air, while trying to factory reset the laptop.
