We have a staircase that is difficult to install a child gate and need someone who can come up and figure out a solution. We only require the gate at the top of the stair case which has seperations that you can see in the attached pictures. We're renting this house so we can't create permanent damage or at least we need to minimise any damage caused. You will need to buy the child gate and make sure the dimensions fit. The main issue is also how to approach the issue of the gaps in the stair wall as you can see in the pictures. The dimensions are of the stairs are: 1.01m high 93cm width

Replace a timber post on a gate

The wooden gate on the side of the house leading to the backyard has fallen off due to the timber post it’s attached to splitting. I’m guessing the best way is to attach a wooden plank to the post to stop the splitting and then reattach the gate to the plank (open to other solutions). Will require measuring, cutting and drilling (and potentially a plank and screws). Additionally, the front gate needs to be realigned a bit so it closes more smoothly. This should be a quick 10 minute task.

Need to repair (and weld) a storage cage steel gate padbolt. Someone tried to cut it open with a bolt cutter. Would like it reinforced as well with more steel if possible, but should not impede the current brass padlock I'm currently using with it (pictured in photos). Re hang a gate on existing post. The gate hinge which is attached to a metal frame is seized and needs to be freed before hanging.

My small front gate no longer closes as the post it sits on has moved over time. I need this fixed with one important condition - you cannot damage the creeping fig growing on the post because this creeper covers the adjoining fence and it must be protected.
